Edge specializes in the design and production of user-friendly documentation and training services. Our team of technical writers, trainers, and instructional designers are trained to look at computer systems from the viewpoint of the user.

Documentation

We design, write, and train for a non-technical audience or innocent users. We are involved in technical writing and the production of user guides, references guides, tutorials, instructions/procedures, training guides, job aids, training materials, online help and a variety of other documents tailored to clients needs.

Computer Based Training (CBT)

You and your requirements are unique thus our Computer Based Training (CBT) materials will be tailored to your needs. Our CBT’s use a web-based interface integrating clear text and high-quality graphics -- including screen shots of the actual software.

We employ advanced interactive training methods. Our four-step learning model of presentation, demonstration, guidance, and practice allows the user to learn more and retain more in a shorter period of time. The exercises will be designed to look, feel and act like the real software. Task-based simulations recreate all the functionality of the actual application, along with narrative explanations of the business process behind each task. Users may select a specific training module based on the task at hand, or follow a tutorial to learn the entire process in a step-by-step manner.

The skill assessment component provides testing with immediate feedback to the user. CBT testing results and feedback can be captured by the user and sent via e-mail to central CBT administrators for monitoring.
